We've outlined handy links for parking, electric vehicle charging and for getting around once you're here. For our less mobile visitors, we highly recommend contacting PKAVS, the charity behind the successful Shopmobility scheme in Perth city centre.
Our train station and bus station are both within walking distance of the city centre; just a quick five minute stroll will have you amongst the beautiful shops, bars and restaurants that make Perth such a popular day out.
Travel by Car
There’s a wide range of safe and secure, short stay car parks within the city centre. If you wish to stay all day, follow the signs for South Inch, Kinnoull Street, Thimble Row or Canal Street car parks. These car parks are a short walk from the High Street.

Electric Vehicle Charging in Perth
As an area, we are continually working towards the vision of a greener Scotland and we are proud to have made a public commitment to increasing the accessibility and availability of chargers, and to promoting the use of electric cars.
In partnership with Transport Scotland, the Office for Low Emission Vehicles, and the Energy Saving trust, Perth and Kinross Council have installed 35 chargers within 13 locations across Perth and Kinross. There are ongoing plans to implement more so do keep an eye out for one near you soon!

Park & Ride
There are two Park & Ride sites in the Perth area.
Broxden Park & Ride is located at a small service area just off the M90 on the outskirts of Perth. Stagecoach bus services 7A and 7B provide an easy link between Broxden and Perth City Centre. These services operate via Scone P&R, Perth city centre, Hillend and Broxden P&R. A day return ticket is priced at just £1.60, with children travelling for 80p. Parking is free at Broxden P&R, so why not leave the car behind and visit Perth city centre for lunch or some retail therapy? Journeys run up to every 20 minutes, Mondays to Saturdays and up to every 30 minutess on Sundays.
Scone Park & Ride is located just off Angus Rd in Scone, ideal if you have travelled from Coupar Angus, Blairgowrie or Alyth. Stagecoach services 7 and 7A provide a link into the city centre from Scone Park & Ride. The route also extends to Hillend and Broxden Park & Ride. Parking is also free, and departures into Perth city centre are up to every 10 minutes Monday to Saturday and up to every 30 minutes on Sundays.

Train
Perth Railway Station is a short walk from the city centre with regular services to and from Stirling, Dundee and Pitlochry, with a journey time of around 30 minutes. From Edinburgh, the journey takes an hour and 25 minutes. The direct train to Perth from Glasgow runs hourly from Queen Street and takes around an hour. Shopmobility
Perth Shopmobility is a PKAVS project which lends wheelchairs and scooters to people with mobility problems. The project is a lifeline for hundreds of older and disabled people as it allows them to retain their independence and continue taking part in the community.
Shopmobility has more than 1,600 registered users and hires scooters and wheelchairs to more than 400 users every month. Daily hire for a few hours is free, though a donation is greatly appreciated and helps with our running costs.

Perth & Kinross Lift Share Scheme
This scheme is provided by the regional TACTRAN network. It is free to use – you simply share the travel costs. Their website links drivers and passengers together online and is part of the largest journey sharing scheme in the UK. The project also helps to provide a lifeline in rural areas and there is no obligation to share.
