Frames Gallery on Victoria Street was started in 1979, by Hugh Goring and his wife Julie. Both art graduates, they opened as a framers but always held a desire to exhibit Contemporary Scottish Artists work.
In the 40 years since, Frames has built an enviable reputation for exactly this, and continues to show the best in contemporary Scottish arts and craft, alongside their award-winning picture framing workshop
"We've moved around a wee bit since we opened; in 1991 we moved to our current premises in Perth to allow the holding of larger exhibitions and in then in 1997 we added a large, purpose built extension to this space to be able to expand the size and range of our exhibitions."
Hugh continues to search out fresh, new talent; not only at grassroots and local level but throughout Scotland and during one of Hugh's exhibitions, you will find a stunning collection of paintings, prints, ceramics and jewellery.
